MEET OSMAR
Founder & Surf Coach
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Osmar moved to Sayulita with his family at the age of 8 and grew up surrounded by the ocean, surf culture, and the unique energy of this small beach town.
He learned to surf at 14 years old and began teaching at just 18. Now, with over 10 years of experience teaching surfers from around the world, Osmar has become known for his patience, positive energy, sense of humor, and natural ability to make people feel comfortable in the water.
Growing up in Sayulita also came with its challenges. In a town filled with constant tourism and party culture, it can be easy to lose yourself along the way. Through a long personal journey, surfing became something much deeper for Osmar — not only a passion, but a source of purpose, discipline, healing, and growth.
Today, Shine On Surf represents that journey. For Osmar, teaching surfing is about much more than standing on a board. It’s about helping people build confidence, connect with the ocean, enjoy the present moment, and experience the freedom and joy that surfing can bring into someone’s life
Meet Sabrina
Creative Director & Co-Founder
Originally from Montreal, Sabrina discovered a completely different side of surfing after meeting Osmar in Sayulita. Through his coaching and passion for the ocean, surfing quickly became much more than just a hobby
It became an obsession and a way of life.
With a background in business, marketing, and creative storytelling, Sabrina helped bring Shine On Surf to life by combining branding, design, and a shared passion for surf culture and meaningful experiences.
Today, she helps shape the creative vision behind Shine On Surf while sharing the beauty, lifestyle, and magic of surfing in Sayulita ☀️
